QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
Hello, I'm very interested in acquiring one of your bikes but can't seem to pick which one of your line would best suit me. I have narrowed it down to the following three: 1) EVRYJourney 2) BodyEase 3) In the Barrel Fat Tire Here is my criteria: - I am a heavy guy. 46 years old. Just under 5' 8" and close to 280 lbs - Comfort comes first before anything. While I love the ergonemtic styling that allows for flat feet when stopped and eextended seat while riding, as well as the handle bar design for relaxed arms, the MOST important thing for me is maximum/longest comfort for the seat bone. I don't want to have to resort to padded bike shorts or towels on the seat if I can find a seat that can give me longest and maximum comfort. However, I'm also open to the fact that you may not feel the standard seat should be the dealbreaker when choosing a model if there may be aftermarket saddles you could recommend that maybe more specialized in giving me the ultimate comfort. I'm okay spending the extra money to achieve this. However, if you feel that the standard saddle on any of these models can already achieve the same, all the better. 3) THe purpose of riding this bike is mainly with the wife and small kids in our residential neighborhoods, as well as some of the available trails in parks/conservation areas close to home. So vast majority is paved, with some hard packed dirt or gravel. 4) These roads and trails may have some uphill riding, but nothing too stringent. So it would be great if you could also recommend the number of speed options would need. 5) Speed is not important. However, it would be great to be able to ride for as long as 2 or 3 hours (if I wanted to) without any seat bone discomfort. While I want to lose some bodyweight, another ideal factor for the chosen model would be for durability, longevity and minimal maintenance. Hopefully I gave given you enough info to work with in order for you to recommend me the best option. Also, do you have any dealers in Canada that can allow me to purchase a bike pre assembled, so I wouldn't have to pay any hefty shipping charges? I know these sell on Amazon (and I have a prime account), but I doubt that they can be purchased pre assembled. Any info you can provide would be great. Thanks
Hi Samy, I received your message, I wanted to respond to you directly and give you as much guidance as I can with your bike selection. The Men's Body Ease 21 Speed is going to be your best choice, based on all of your criteria. As far as comfort, ability to ride on the surfaces you mention, and the time before the seat becomes uncomfortable, it's a solid choice. The seat - this is the most difficult recommendation to make, as everyone has a different seat bone. The seat we chose for the Body Ease is very soft and has a suspension spring in the seat post for added absorption from bumps in the road. That being said, I still cannot guarantee that it will be 'perfect' for you. The seat can easily be replaced, and some great comfortable seats I know of would be the Cloud9 brand. Follow this link: https://www.amazon.ca/s?k=Cloud+9+seat&i=sporting&ref=nb_sb_noss_2 They don't get better than these, and this one in particular I believe is the best for men with our stature (I'm 5'10'' 225lbs). https://www.amazon.ca/Large-Sofa-Gel-Comfort-Seat/dp/B000TD24VG/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=Cloud+9+seat&qid=1567705313&s=sports&sr=1-4 As for Canadian dealers, unfortunately, we do not have any other than Amazon.ca. Assembly is very easy for this model. All you will need to do is mount the front wheel, pedals, handlebar, and seat.
If you need to have it assembled, taking it to a local bike shop for assembly would be your best bet. I hope this information helps with your decision, I also sent this message directly to you, so feel free to keep the conversation going if you have any other questions. -
Does this fat tire bike come with as a 7 speed?
Currently, we only have single speeds available for the Fat Tire In The Barrel model.
We will have a 7-speed model available in the future, hopefully before Christmas time.
Thank you, and please let us know if you have any other questions. -
Is the frame for the barrel and barrel fat tire this same size? I have a regular barrel. Can I purchase the wheels and tires separately?
Hello, and thank you for your inquiry.
The geometry frames are much different from one another, unfortunately, you can't just buy wheels of this size and install them on the existing In The barrel models.
We're not selling the wheels and parts separately at this time.
Please let us know if you have any other questions. -
